SPD : Suction Pile Designer 

In this video, we introduce SPD, our innovative tool designed to automate the buckling check of suction piles during installation using Simcenter Femap and Nx Nastran. SPD streamlines both pre-sizing and detailed engineering phases by allowing engineers to define geometrical parameters, material properties, and soil conditions.

 

The tool automatically generates a finite element model (FEM) with optimal mesh quality, sets pressure loads and constraints, and performs comprehensive analyses for various penetration depths and soil types.

FEM description and check report generation

One should properly check the accuracy of every used FEM before any substantiation analysis. In this video you will see how we automatically perform PRE and POST-Run checks according to the European Cooperation for Space Standardisation (ECSS) and NASA FEM verification procedures.

 

An automatic report is generated containing the desired check results and the entire FEM description (properties, materials...)

Buckling Post-Processor Tool

In the oil and gas field stress engineers are dealing with panels buckling check according to standards such as DNV, ABS, API and BV. Buckling check is a very time-consuming task ! Starting from mid stresses averaging to panels dimensions and orientation definition.

 

This tool has been developed during a 330 meters long vessel conversion to FPSO in order to help the stress engineers focusing on the real engineering reflexions instead of being like robots for days extracting the results and infos by hand and perform copy / past operations thousands time.
